Today I want to challenge you with a simple but powerful truth: Jesus’ ministry lasted only three years, and He changed the world forever. And yet, how often do we say, “I don’t have enough time”?

We put off sharing the gospel. We delay stepping into our calling. We tell ourselves that when we have more time, when life slows down, when things are easier—then we will serve God more. But Jesus, in just three years, accomplished what no man or woman could do in a thousand lifetimes.

So today, I want to tell you this: Stop making excuses. Start making an impact. Because the time you have is more than enough when God is with you.

1. Jesus Didn’t Waste Time

Let’s turn to John 9:4—Jesus says:

“As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.”

Jesus knew His time on earth was short. He had no time to waste. From the moment He began His ministry, He was focused on doing the will of the Father. He didn’t wait for the “right” time. He didn’t wait until everything was convenient.

Think about it—He didn’t even wait until He was old and experienced! Jesus started His public ministry at around 30 years old and in just three years, He healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, preached the Kingdom, discipled followers, and ultimately brought salvation to the world!

And yet, how often do we say, “I’ll do it later”?

Brothers and sisters, if Jesus didn’t make excuses, why should we? The time to do God’s work is now.

2. God Doesn’t Need a Lifetime to Use You

Maybe you feel like you’ve wasted too much time. Maybe you think you’re too young, too old, too busy, too unqualified. But I want to remind you that God doesn’t need a long time to use you—He just needs your willingness.

Look at the disciples. They weren’t trained pastors or religious scholars. They were fishermen, tax collectors, ordinary people like you and me. And yet, in just three years of following Jesus, they were transformed into bold preachers who turned the world upside down.

Consider Paul. He spent years persecuting the church, but after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, he became the greatest missionary of all time. In a short time, he planted churches, wrote letters that we still read today, and spread the gospel across the Roman Empire.

If God could use them, what’s stopping Him from using you?

3. You Have Everything You Need Right Now

We often think we need more time, more resources, more training before we can make a difference. But Jesus never asked for more time—He simply used what He had.

Think of the miracle of feeding the five thousand (John 6:1-14). The disciples looked at what they had—just five loaves and two fish—and said, “This isn’t enough!” But Jesus took it, blessed it, and multiplied it.

Maybe you feel like you don’t have much to offer. Maybe you feel like what you have isn’t enough. But if you place it in God’s hands, He can do more with it than you ever imagined.

God isn’t asking for your excuses—He’s asking for your obedience.

4. Start Where You Are, With What You Have

So what can you do today?

  • Share your testimony. Someone needs to hear what God has done in your life.
  • Pray for someone. You don’t need to be a pastor to intercede for others.
  • Serve in your church. Find a way to help, no matter how small.
  • Tell someone about Jesus. You don’t have to preach a sermon—just be a light in your daily life.

Time is not your problem. Obedience is.
